Entitlement, comfort and safety

Raised with a lot of love, I was taught to feel like I was special. Like I was different than other people. Better than others. Because we looked good on paper. It also led me to believe more in those superficial accolades, the trappings of wealth and education, rather than the real life skills and abilities that can result in getting rich.

I adopted the way my parents thought about the world and about success, when they really didn’t know that much about either. They were fundamentally flawed and held fundamentally flawed perspectives on the world.
