What’s the best way to explore a new city?

The best exploring I’ve ever done is solo adventuring. I really enjoyed traveling by myself when I was younger. The best trip I ever took solo was when I went to India. I was living in Doha, Qatar and it was very hot, drab, dusty and dry. I did some research online and of course I wanted to go to Mumbai first and foremost. I arrived in  Mumbai and I wasn’t happy with my hotel, so I just on a whim walked over and decided to stay at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Needless to stay it was incredible. Then I flew to Goa from Mumbai. I met some amazing people in Goa … Then I hopped on the train and went to Bangalore and Delhi – then from there I went back to Mumbai.. I had overstayed my tourist visa by a few days but they didn’t make a big deal about it, I just paid a little fine and I was on my way back to Doha. Overall it was a month in India. 

I didn’t want to leave and I made friends for life from Goa.
